Brittany MacDougall is a recent graduate of the Sheridan College Furniture Design Program and collaborated with us on our most recent project; The Bound Series.
Brittany MacDougall is an evolving furniture designer and maker from Toronto. Exposed to handcrafted furniture made by her grandfather she worked toward the goal of being a maker herelf from a young age.
Her modern and functional designs often incorporate asymmetrical forms, secondary materials, and evocative use of negative space and colour. Thusly producing beautiful and timeless furniture pieces which solve problems that people did not know existed.
“I want to create dynamic
relationships between elements,
adding visual interest via secondary materials, colours and textures.
I am drawn to asymmetrical forms, providing a different view any way you look at the piece.

Kane's first experience with fine furniture came from his grandfather, a carpenter, who passed down his workbench to his mom. This workbench has and is still being used as their dining room table.
While attending OCADU for Industrial Design, he took a wood shop course and was hooked. That summer he bought used tools and built his first table. A shaker style hall table made with two drawers. After OCADU he attended the prestigious Craft and Design Furniture program at Sheridan College.
